Sheel M. Pandya joined CDT in fall 2008 as a Policy Counsel with the Health Privacy Project.
Prior to joining CDT, Ms. Pandya worked as a health care attorney with AARP Foundation Litigation. There, the focus of her work was on Medicare, Medicaid, disability, and prescription drugs. She also spent six years with AARP’s Public Policy Institute working on long-term care issues. Ms. Pandya was an Equal Justice Foundation fellow with the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund in Berkeley, CA, and spent a year working on health and aging policy issues at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. She was also an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer.
Ms. Pandya received her B.S. degree from the University of Rochester and her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law. She also received her M.P.H. from Yale School of Public Health.
