Michael Clark
This Section

Michael Clark is CDT's Senior Webmaster and Grassroots Activist Coordinator. Michael interacts with the Activists and netizens who write into the CDT about any Internet issue. Feel free to encrypt email to Michael with his GPG Public Key (expires 2007-02-22) or his PGP Public Key (if he can find a computer to run PGP on). He also updates and maintains the CDT family of web sites, as well as the web sites for the Internet Education Foundation.

Michael is interested in stopping unsolicted email (spam), protecting privacy, and distributed computing. Michael is participating in the RC5 decryption effort and the Optimal Golomb Ruler problem hosted by Distributed.net, as well as the search for Mersenne prime numbers hosted by GIMPS.

Before coming to the CDT as an intern in the summer of 1999, Michael worked for the Virginia Tech Center for Survey Research as the Data Systems Manager. He also owned and operated a computer consulting firm focusing on software and hardware technical support and Internet training; worked for Apple Computers; and sold computer equipment through the University Bookstore at Virginia Tech. Michael received his Masters of Public Administration from Virginia Tech in December 1999; and also his BA in geography from Virginia Tech in 1994. He grew up in Newport News, Virginia.
