Job Opportunity: Director of Development
The Center for Democracy and Technology is seeking a Director of Development with a strong major gift background to create and oversee its growing development department. This is a new position and a new department within the organization, offering the right candidate an exciting opportunity to both design and implement a multi-year, multi-tiered fundraising strategy for a cutting edge Internet policy organization. The organization is currently well-funded by foundation grants and corporate donations but is looking to grow in mission critical areas (about $1-2 million additional resource per year) as well as create a strategic reserve. The position reports to the President and could be based in San Francisco, CA or Washington DC.

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience, and is competitive with public interest and not for profit pay scales.
