Ben Karpf
This Section

Ben Karpf is a 2007 JD candidate at Georgetown University Law Center. He earned a master's degree from Georgetown in Communication, Culture & Technology in 2003 and a B.A. in English from The George Washington University in 1997. Originally from Savannah, Ga., Ben is an avid musician and began playing the guitar when he was fourteen. Despite the English degree, he spent most of his undergrad years studying and playing music, eventually earning a minor in Jazz Studies. He has played in R&B groups, classic rock bar bands and jazz combos, and after a brief flirtation with the surprisingly unglamorous life of a professional musician, Ben has vowed never to play in a wedding band again. Ben has volunteered at the Future of Music Coalition's Annual Policy Summit in Washington, D.C., every year since 2002.
