FEC Rules in Favor of Political Speakers - The FEC has approved a series of rule changes exempting bloggers from most federal campaign finance regulations, largely along lines that CDT had recommended to the Commission last year. The FEC adopted the strongest protections for small speakers possible under the statutory framework set by Congress, striking an appropriate balance between competing concerns.
