Domain Names Organization Elects Three Directors - ICANN, the new international domain name group, has completed the complex and convoluted election of board members by its Domain Name Supporting Organization (DNSO). After many rounds of voting, the DNSO Names Council elected board members for a 3 year term, 2 year term, and 1 year term. In making their selection, the Names Council had to fulfill geographic diversity requirements in ICANN's bylaws October 19, 1999

• Alejandro Pisanty from Latin America will occupy the 3 year seat. - Amadeu Abril i Abril from Europe will occupy the 2 year seat. [off-site]
